RTI Portal of J&K will be made live shortly after it’s formal launch, as currently it is operating on a restricted network, Informed by the Jammu & Kashmir administration in Case [Mohammad Tuyyab Malik and Another v. Arun Kumar Mehta].
Matter was heard by division bench of Hon’ble Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Hon’ble Justice MA Chowdhary.
It is to be noted that Jammu & Kashmir High Court in 2022 directed the chief seceratory to take necessary steps to set up the RTI portal in Jammu and Kashmir in order to facilitate citizens to file RTI application and obtain information from Government.
